Citydot Studio has been inspired by the contemporary urban vibe to create unconventional architecture, office interiors, residences, and custom furniture in California and Europe since 2014. The spaces are generated by a specific set of geometric rules in combination with the constraints for construction simplicity and innovative programmatic analysis. These principles often constitute architecture with distinguishable parts, repeated with variation, which evokes the rhythm and calming effect of nature, bringing in balance to our hectic lives.

Citydot Studio, LLC is a San Francisco based design company, founded by Savina Kyurkchieva, AIA and currently focused on residences, commercial interiors, custom furniture, acoustics, branding and art installations.

Founder and Principal Savina Kyurkchieva is a licensed architect in the states of California and New York, and a member of the professional organization American Institute of Architects.

She received her second Master’s in Architecture degree on a full scholarship from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA . While at Cornell Savina received an Award for Merit and Distinction in the Master of Architecture Design Studio; Eschweiler Prize – an architecture graduate program award; a Full Teaching Assistantship Award for thesis semester; a Summer Research Travel Grant; a Robert Eidlitz Fellowship Traveling Award; a Graduate School Full Tuition Scholarship; and a Thanks to Scandinavia full two-years stipend. Savina received her Bachelor’s and first Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering , and Geodesy (UACEG), Sofia, Bulgaria. While at UACEG Savina was awarded an Excellent Grades Grants for 3 years.

Prior to founding Citydot Studio, Savina worked at multiple architecture firms and as an independent design contractor in Sofia (Bulgaria), Varna (Bulgaria), Los Angeles (USA), and San Francisco (USA).

Savina’s projects at Citydot Studio and earlier at Cornell University were recognized at various international architecture awards.
